Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo confirmed Wednesday that his glorious 10-year stint at AC Milan is coming to an end, amid reports Juventus are set to sign him for next season as a free agent.

''I'd already thought about going. It was a mutual decision,'' said Pirlo, whose contract with the newly crowned Serie A champions runs out at the end of this season.
''I hope they miss me. After 10 unforgettable years, I thank the club and the fans for their affection...

''I haven't spoken to Juventus yet and we haven't talked about offers''. The 2006 World Cup winner lifted the Champions League twice with Milan, in 2003 and 2007, and helped them take the scudetto in 2004 and this year.

The 31-year-old also claimed the 2003 Italian Cup and 2007 Club World Cup with the club.

Fellow midfielder Clarence Seedorf, whose contract also expires at the end of this season, said his future is uncertain after talks on Tuesday but the club have renewed the deals of many other players.

Brazil defender Thiago Silva has signed a new contract that will keep him at the seven-time European champions until 2016.

Centre back Alessandro Nesta, forward Filippo Inzaghi, Netherlands midfielder Mark Van Bommel and back-up goalkeeper Flavio Roma have extended their contracts until the end of next season.
